First post, Substack seems different from Musk and Zuckerberg creatures
It seems to me that Substack is different from X, Facebook, Instagram, and especially TikTok—mass disinformation channels—not because that was the intention of the creators of these social media platforms, but because the battle against fake news is enormous. From personal interests to state-level interests involving destructive foreign policies, the fake news phenomenon is massively spread through the aforementioned social media channels.
Up until now, Substack seems to be something else, which is why I decided to create an account while working on an e-book that explains, in simple terms, how quickly one can become a journalist these days.
Expect me to write from time to time some silly ideas as well because the rigor of the profession prevents me from doing so otherwise.
I have almost 25 years of experience working in mass media, predominantly in the investigative field, and I’ve gone through all the stages and roles within a newsroom. I’ve worked in print journalism (RIP), online media, television, and radio.
I hope the texts will bring added value to people. Otherwise…mission failed! Nice to meet you all!
Important note!
English is my second language, so this is a warning: prepare for some creative grammar ahead.
